N.J. town will see shocking 4% home value surge — the highest in the state

A South Jersey ZIP code is set to see home values soar this fall — well ahead of the rest of the state.

Camden (ZIP code: 08102) will see the biggest value rise by September at 4%, according to a Zillow real estate forecast analysis of 547 ZIP codes in the Garden State with enough available data.

The surge comes as the city, once named among the nation’s most violent, just recorded its first winter in 50 years without any homicides.

ZIP codes in Strathmere in Cape May County and Lavallette in Ocean County followed with increases of over 2%. As usual, home values on the shore continue to soar.

The vast majority of towns will see home values rise by less than 1%, the Zillow analysis shows.

But 91 towns will actually see home values decrease.

A note about the data: Zillow excluded some ZIP codes because it did not have enough data to project home values for them.
